Erased (2004)
A solo that explores the idea of memory, and choosing to take it away.
"Erased" is set to an original piece of music commissioned
for the piece. Singer/songwriter Lauren Cregor lends her voice and fingers
(on piano) to this haunting piece. The notion of choosing to erase someone
or something from one's memory is an idea that many of us can relate
to. At times the pain of a person or event is so much that we contemplate
removing it if we could. The only problem is, if that person or event
brought us joy in the first place, is it worth it to never be able to
remember it again?
