Teaching

Dance on Canvas | Science in Motion | Teaching

Artistic Directors Lynn Peterson and Kate St. Amand can offer the unique experience of team teaching:

  • SYREN Repertory
  • Modern Dance Technique
  • Modern Dance Partnering
  • Improvisation
  • Composition

Class work emphasizes connecting to the natural force of the weight of the body, musical specificity, focus, and transitions. Students (particularly advanced level students) will be encouraged to make their own choices through assignments in movement manipulation, variation, development, creation, and more! The moment of movement is inspiring to witness.
