Lynn Peterson

Co-Artistic Director and Dancer

Lynn Peterson (Co-Artistic Director, Dancer) is a United States Cultural Ambassador who has been sharing dance widely with SYREN for 21 years. In 2022, Lynn completed the Curriculum in Motion Institute at Jacob’s Pillow. In 2024, she was a Teaching Fellow for the Curriculum in Motion Institute in Becket, MA. Training: B.F.A. S.U.N.Y. Purchase, Lincoln Center Institute, Asana Alphabet, The Yoga Room, Jordan College Academy of Dance, Indianapolis Ballet Theater. Lynn is proud to be a Teaching Artist for Arts for Learning CT, and she currently teaches at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT. She’s previously been on faculty at Mark Morris Dance Center, Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, and The Hotchkiss School. Additionally, she has worked with students at Purchase College, Yale University, Harvard University, Princeton University, Brown University, Boston Conservatory, Moravian University, Anderson University, The Hartt School, IONA College, Principia College, Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts, Center for Creative Youth, The Ethel Walker School, Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School, Portland Youth Dance, Jordan Academy of Dance, Broad Ripple High School, Metropolitan Youth Ballet, Academy of Dance Arts, and New American Youth Ballet, among others.
