“Thina” is a dance created by Kate St. Amand for the dancers of SYREN inspired by the work of South African composer, Philip Miller. The project uses Miller’s re-creation of the beloved Reuben T. Caluza song: “Influenza 1918” in response to the Covid Pandemic. After premiering “Thina” last November, SYREN looks forward to the on-going evolution of this project, as well as rising to the challenge of creating AND SHARING during the COVID-19 pandemic .
